The Vocational School, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim is a post-primary (second level) school located in south-east Leitrim. It opened in 1957 as a three room building with an enrolment of 35 students and a staff of three teachers. To-day it has sixteen classrooms, an enrolment of 240 students (123 boys, 117 girls; 138 in the Junior Cycle and 102 in the Senior Cycle) and a staff of twenty teachers

Small classes are the norm in this school, and this, together with the dedication of a fully qualified staff, helps our students to attain the highest standards in both quality of work and personal development

Mission Statement                   We aim, through positive interaction, to recognise each individual's uniqueness and to develop each individual's potential in our school community.

The school is co-educational and multi-denominational and draws its students from seventeen primary schools in a catchment area located in South Leitrim and West Cavan.
